Mr. Saturnino B. Rogelio resigned as College Administrator and was succeeded by Dr. Aracelie A. Peñaflor. During this time, Mayor Francisco M. Lecaroz assumed the chairmanship of the Board.
Dr. Nilo L. Rosas of Torrijos assumed the Directorship of the Bureau of Higher Education. He played a key role in the issuance of the DECS permit to offer the senior curriculum leading to BACHELOR OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION and other courses.
Engr. Percival P. Morales replaced the outgoing Mayor Francisco M. Lecaroz and assumed the chairmanship of the Marinduque Community College Board of Trustees. That same year, Dr. Nilo L. Rosas supported the college's plan to offer full degree courses in BACHELOR OF SECONDARY EDUCATION and COMMERCE, which Marinduque Community College (MCC) had been offering.
The permanent permit recognition was granted, marking the official birth of the School of Education. The school continued to produce graduates until its final absorption as a branch of Marinduque State College (MSC) in March 1993.
The College of Education was renamed the School of Elementary Teacher Education (SETEd).
